Choosing between a PD charger and a SuperVOOC-labelled adapter? Start with your phone's supported charging system, not the biggest wattage on the box. A matching plug, a familiar brand name and a high power rating answer different questions. This guide shows what to check before choosing a Grooves charging accessory.
USB-C, USB Power Delivery and SuperVOOC: what is different?
USB Type-C® describes a connector. It does not, on its own, confirm USB Power Delivery support. USB-IF explicitly separates the connector specification from the power protocol in its USB Type-C terminology guidelines.
USB Power Delivery (PD) concerns power delivery between compatible equipment. The USB-IF overview describes flexible power management, including devices requesting the power they require. You still need to check the capabilities of the exact phone, adapter and cable.
SuperVOOC support needs its own compatibility check. For example, OnePlus's 2-in-1 SuperVOOC cable manual specifies compatible SuperVOOC phones and an appropriate SuperVOOC adapter for that cable's SuperVOOC function. That statement concerns the OnePlus accessory; it does not certify a Grooves model or guarantee cross-brand charging performance.

A five-step compatibility check before you buy
- Identify the exact device. Note the model and regional version. Use its manufacturer's charging documentation rather than specifications for a similar-looking phone.
- Find the supported charging protocol. Look for the named standard and any additional requirements. A USB-C socket alone is insufficient evidence.
- Check the adapter's output information. Compare the listed output modes with the device requirements. If a required voltage, current or protocol is missing from the listing, ask for clarification before purchasing.
- Check both cable ends and the cable specification. Confirm that it connects your chosen adapter to your phone and supports the intended charging setup. Do not assume an existing cable supports every charging mode.
- Confirm the exact package. Check whether a suitable cable is included, which variant you selected and the applicable return terms. Save the product link so support can identify the same model.
Does 65 W automatically beat 25 W for my phone?
A product name containing a larger wattage is not a phone-specific charging result. Compare compatible output modes first. Neither the name nor a product photograph establishes that your phone will use the advertised maximum. This guide does not provide timed charging tests or a universal compatibility list.

Compare the current Grooves listings
Review Grooves 25 W PD and Grooves 65 W SuperVOOC on their current product pages. At this guide's review, those pages did not display a complete output-mode table or a tested phone-by-phone compatibility list. Confirm any missing requirement with support; do not transfer specifications from another Grooves adapter.
Browse the charging-adapter collection for other listed options. Current price, availability and selected variant belong on the product page, where they can change independently of this guide.
What should I ask support?
Send a clear question such as: “I have [exact phone model]. I am considering [product link] and using [cable model or rating]. Which supported output mode applies, and is the required cable included?” Use the Grooves contact page for help. Review the refund policy before ordering and the shipping policy for delivery terms.
Quick answers
Does every USB-C charger support PD?
No. Connector type and PD support are separate specifications. Check the exact listing and the device manufacturer's requirements.
Can I assume PD and SuperVOOC are interchangeable?
No. Verify each required mode explicitly. Support for one named system is not proof of support for another.
Is a cable included with every Grooves adapter?
Do not assume so. Check the package contents for the exact product and selected option, or ask support before buying.
